Learn to cook

Basic Recipes for your family.

Start your process by inventoring what you have on hand at home.
Now that you have an idea of what you have available use that knowledge to build your family a menu of weekly or even monthly meals, depending on how you shop.
Once you have the menus find recipes for what you have and get busy trying them.

See it really isn't that bad. Start with simple easy to follow recipes.
It will keep you from getting over whelmed and you will see that you can provide wonderful meals for your family.
Not to mention save money in the process.
By keeping track of what you have on hand cooking will become a better process and not so hard of a task to do.

You can even get your kids and Grandkids involved in the kitchen by having them work on sides while you cook.
Ask (if you don't already know) what their favorite meal is then when that meal comes up have them in the kitchen helping.
Our children today see restaurants more than they see us cook and that my friends is pretty sad.

Let me know some of your favorite meals and I will see if I can find you a recipe to try. Remember make it simple and make it as cheaply and delicious as possible.

ENJOY!

Things to help you have a clean home.

Things to do daily that will help

Starting our year
Make your bed: When you have a made bed it makes you feel like your space is cleaner and more relaxing to come home to.
Clean as you cook: Cleaning as you cook makes it easier to do. Rather you are doing it by hand or loading your dishwasher so it can be run before bed. Unload it first thing in the morning or while you are cooking so that it is always ready to use.
Wipe down your bathroom: Wiping down your bathroom after taking a bath will help with grime build up making it easier to keep clean.
Wiping kitchen counters: Wiping your counter tops down helps you to straighten the area and keep it tidy as you go. Keeping clutter from building on counter tops will also make it easier to keep clean.
Make yourself a DONATE bin/box: As you come across something you don't like or use add it to you bin to donate. When its full get rid of it. There isn't any need in keeping something you haven't or won't use.
Take your trash out: Not letting your trash over flow is part of making your kitchen look cleaner and eliminates having over flowing trash.
Laundry: Wash a small load of laundry (if you can) daily. When its Dried fold it while watching T.V.

Just doing little things daily helps while you are trying to organize and declutter your house. Don't let it over whelm you. Just little steps and in no time you will start to see a difference in your home and the way it looks.
Together we can all do this and enjoy the things we love to do and have a cleaner home.

Clean & Organize

Clean & Organize

Its a new year so lets get organized and live a happier life.
Start with one room and with a four piles:
Keep, Donate, Trash & Sale.
When you start start small that way you won't get over whelmed.
You don't have to spend a fortune to organize your home.
You can find container or baskets at yard sales, dollar trees or discount stores for cheap prices.

If you start your days by cleaning off clutter from counters and tables it will help with the appearance of a cleaner room.
When picking up clutter take a basket with you and place items in there so as you walk through your home you can place them where they belong.
Most people start to get over whelmed when starting to organize their homes but it won't over whelm you if you start small.
Make yourself a short cleaning list of things that need doing daily: dishes, wiping counters & making your bed.
Then assign a day to do mopping,  sweeping & vacuuming.

Set aside a day for laundry, cleaning carpets then do it only on those days. Make sure to wash, dry & fold so that it is all done.
When you organize one area at a time it will take time but it will eventually be done and you will have the home that you desire.

Remember not everything has to be done in one day and you can do this.
I have started this myself.
Happy New Year lets get organized together.
